Okay, so, here's what happened:

(1) DreamHost gave its new customers (that's us) $9.95 in our account, so I was able to renew this domain.

(2) And given that, you're gonna see more of me throughout the year. Maybe some new look. And, of course, hotter photos of me so go find something you can drool on to. :>

Guess I'll be seeing you around too. ;)

Soon, I would have to migrate all my entries here to my WordPress blog, I guess.

In the domain world, nothing lasts forever. There's this thing called renewal. To hell with renewal.

Yes, you heard it right. The hottest site there is expires on April. I have to find a way to renew this though, but Dreamhost? I refuse to pay in dollars.

I wonder if there's a domain transfer of some sort.

Okay, so it's been a long time since I last posted here. I go here every once in a while to check on comments, and use some parts of my site for thesis, but I never had the time (or guts) to post.

So, post.

Hello.

First half of thesis is over. But first semester ain't done yet! I have a reflection paper (on a movie) and a final project (we're making a Flash game) for Pan Pil 17 (pop culture).

Oh, wait, I have work. So, I guess I'll be having my own "semender" alongside work once I finish my academic requirements.

And, and, I opened up my Plurk for everyone again. :)

Mibbit.com is a web-based internet relay chat app. It's pretty nice actually, knowing Y!M's conferences are a fail lately.

The mIRC days were the days (and I quote Kee, "That's so 00's.") Haha!

Funny how time flies. :)

So it's typing on its own. Leaving a tab on would cause a page in a browser tab to refresh indefinitely. Leaving the console on would print tildes one after another.

The detached hinges, chipped off F5 and Right+CTRL, blackening touchpad, fading exterior, scratched cover -- they all meant nothing to me, until the lappy started doing things on its own.

Oh well, Spicycurves. It's been nice knowing you. Two years ain't bad. But right now, I need a laptop who would be tough enough to withstand my... hotness.

Today, the world indulges in the existence of status messages. An era dawned where characters have limits, and paragraphs became a thing of the past (you would even panic at the sight of a paragraph, and two would be enough to make you faint). And you may have seen these on almost every social networking site existing -- Twitter, Plurk, Facebook, Multiply even.

It's a worldwide sensation.

Just when you thought it ends there, you'd find sites which compile all your social networks and gather your status messages -- Plaxo, Chi.mp.

It's not that the era of paragraphs have gone. But, it misses to compose lengthy blogs and put your thought and heart into them -- reviewing and stressing your points, hitting backspace a large number of times. Much like writing really.

True that posting status messages get really addicting. But after seeing THIS, the tweets and the plurks did not make any sense. Everything was a blur (except perhaps the mini-blog).

Now I'm trying something different -- a longer entry this time. Even though the 140-character era has dawned, here I am riding against the mainstream. I could do this again or not. The one-liner world is a craze and it's pulling all of us in.

I'm reading news. I don't normally read news. But I was bored so, meh.

Why is it so hard to modify other people's code?

My thesis partner (Jeune) found a website named Diigo where people can share websites, and in those websites you can highlight important stuff, and even add sticky notes.

The dashboard is pretty hard at first, but it's cool once you the hang of it.

Day 2.

I realized that having only one class in one day for the entire week bores. Bites. Sucks. PSP won't hold for more than 4 hours; my DS probably. I wouldn't expect my org friends to be at the tambayan all the time (because they have classes).

So, so, plans:

1. Sit-in in Ma'am Susan's Agile Development class. It's an afternoon class, so I won't mind. I wanted to take the class as an extra elective, but I wouldn't want anything to interfere with my thesis.

2. Go to work, when needed.

3. Always ask if there would be a Dota session in the evening. If there is, alam na!

4. Splurge on arcade (if not at school) and food (wherever I am).

Any more suggestions?

So first day was pretty much fun as always. Nothing feels better than having only one class a week (well, two, but thesis doesn't count), and it happens to be in the afternoon. Well, I get to spend more time with friends, which is nice. I hope I can work out my thesis well, too.

I will be at the office for the rest of my free time (if not with friends). Hope I can be more productive than I am right now.

Ramdam ko na ang istres ng thesis -- ang istres sa pag-iisip kung saang laboratoryo sasabak, ang istres sa pag-iisip kung anong proyektong balak ilikha, ang istres sa pag-iisip kung paano imamaneyds ang aking oras nang maayos, at ang istres sa pag-iisip ng pagkawala lalo ng tulog (na ngayon pa lang ay sabog na ang orasan ng aking katawan).

Basta kahit anong mangyari, lalabas ako ng kolehiyo nang buhay. Pangalawang prayoridad ko na ang makagawa ng matinding thesis.

Sometimes, it feels good to escape from problems and distract yourself by doing the things you love.

Problem is, it's just temporary.

Simple lang ang hangad ko sa buhay -- magkaroon ng isteybol na trabaho, mabuhay nang masaya ang aking pamilya, at makisaya kasama ang mga mahal kong kaibigan.

Pangarap ko ring makapagmaneho, magkabahay na magugustuhan ko. Wala pa sa aking isipang mag-asawa, pero kinokonsider ko ito.

The rain falls down in an unusually weird time of the year, where sunlight and the dying heat should be dominant all season long.

I am liking the weather these days. I've always liked the cozy feeling whenever it rains. In-house air becomes a bit cooler, and the office chair becomes something that you can snuggle up, too. Rain becomes soothing. Rain becomes bliss.

One despises it however when travelling on the way home. Pacing the streets and shallow ponds is not a comfortable feeling, especially if you feel water riding up your toes, then to your feet. It's always a bit of a hassle to carry an umbrella. It gets wet, and you have to carry it, and you have to let it dry. Rain becomes an obstacle. Rain becomes stress.

Paolo hates stress.
